First impressions + Swatches of upcoming brand: What Addiction? Nail Polish

~ What Addiction? ~
That is the - EXACT - same thing I ask when people claim I might need an "intervention." I am PERFECTLY fine, mom. πŸ™„ lololol
Although, maybe I should also stop growling at people when they say I have too much polish & stop glaring when they say it's the same shade polish, when it's clearly not.🀨😀 *triggered* LOOOOL 😏😁

Aaaaaanyway, πŸ˜…
I was sent a 4 piece collection called 'Speckle My Fancy' to swatch & share with you all by the amazingly sweet Ana herself.
~
Her new & upcoming Indie Nail Polish company is called What Addiction? Polish. Which is the most fitting name, actually πŸ˜‚ #SayingForAFriend 🀫πŸ€₯

Lets start with the packaging, which was not only so adorable, but very appropriately done so! The polishes came wrapped in their own individual bubble pouches, then wrapped with glitter accented tissue paper, & sealed with a cute thank you sticker. It included a business card, which I loooooveee collecting loll - Don't mind me! πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

The 'Speckle My Fancy' collection comes with 4 gorgeous, flustering shades: Linger, Appeal to Me, Just Like That, & Coming Undone. I'm in love with how the names to this collection equal what runs through my mind when I'm tempted & enabled to buy polish! LOL Right? ...No? Just me?πŸ˜… *gulp* laughs awkwardly......

Ana kindly reminded me, prior to sending me these polishes, that some orange & green polishes stain nails. So with that, came a stain test. I wore "Linger" & "Just Like That" for two weeks on my right hand. I did use a base coat (as always) but did not use my trusty quick dry top coat because I didn't want it to be a variable factor in telling whether or not those two polishes chipped easily. They shockingly did not chip & were SO GLOSSY on their own without a topcoat! I was sHoOk ! haha
The video to the stain test is available on my IGTV account that can be found off my Instagram profile.

'Linger'

Shown in two coats plus top coat is Linger - An avocado-y lime green with green-gold micro flakies & deep garnet micro glitters. This polish dried in a high gloss & a smooth texture. I used two coats of polish over a layer of base coat before topping it with quick dry top coat.

'Just Like That'

A sunburst orange with light gold micro flakies & a sprinkle of black micro glitter that literally reminds me of an orange soda. In fact, brb - going to get one now! hehe

'Appeal to Me'

A violet purple polish with turquoise micro flakies & fuschia as well as black micro glitters. This purple color reminded me of Nerds candy. Here, it is shown in 2 coats plus top coat. This polish did dry semi-glossed & slightly textured. If you're not fond of texture, a layer of top coat does the trick, do not fear!

'Coming Undone'

A bubble gum pink polish with blue-pink opalescent micro flakies & pink micro glitters. This polish took 2 coats & a QDTC* to achieve shown end results.

Over all, the formulas for these were perfect. It was neither too thick nor runny which made these polishes super easy to work with. I definitely recommend you get some to try for yourself.

Will you be indulging in a set of your own? Which colors are you most excited for? Let me know down below!

These photos were taken at night under bright LED lights but I saw them just about the same during the day as well as under my lamps.
*QDTC refers to quick dry top coat.

The What Addiction? Polish shop will be live on July 1st at 9 a.m. PDT.

Be there or be square! :-P
