Indie Polish Tag
Hey boo thangssss. π So, this is a bit of a different type of post than we're used to (yes - as in you AND Iπ
).
I was called out by @SamtasticNails in one of her most recent blog posts to answer some questions about my personal thoughts on things that is Indie Polish.π
Shall we start?π

Indie Polish Tag Questions:
My very first indie polish was off of Etsy. I ordered those 5 polishes from @AnnBoyarLuxuryBoutique. They made gorgeous polishes & I bought them after seeing @NailArtByFrida PR them. Unfortunately, they are not available anymore for the time being.π£
2. What's an indie polish lemming that you want but have never been able to get your hands on?
Lemming? Hold up, π πΆ.
"Ok, Google.π€ Define lemming...
... ... ... Lmao what? Rodent?
*searches more* ... ... ... ohhhhh, gotcha!π"
...Ok, I'm back. ππ My favorite Indie polish I want so bad, I'd do whatever has to get done is... *drum roll* the whole "Is This A Kissing Book?" Collection From @MoonShineMani
3. Name an indie polish you bought because of a YouTuber.
Back when @SimplyNailogical used to do nail art, back in the days when she had JUST started talking in her videos (I KNOW!π²), was when I had seen the polish called "Menchie" By @StarrilyNails. Being a lover of cats & the color pink, I knew I had to have it.
4. What is your favorite and least favorite type of indie polish (holo, multichrome, flakie, etc.)?
Ouuu, my favorite type are crellies. π Them broads are everything.π Especially when the glitters in it are HoLoOoOoπΏπ³π«
Hmm... I'd say my least favorite type of polishes are toppers.π
π©Do what you must to me, just leave my instafamous hand in peace! She did nothing wrong! π£ππ
5. Name an indie polish that fits your personality to a "T”.
The entire @FlossGloss collections most days. Lmaoπ
Oh, you meant a single polish? Then I choose "95% Angel" π☻
6. What indie polish company do you wish you owned every bottle/collection from?
@FUNLacquer y'all! ππ Have you seen them new magnetic polishes? Ermagerrrrrππ«
7. Name an indie polish that physically made your jaw drop when you saw it.
Alright, let's start this question with an answer to something not asked. π I have a deep passion for the Phoenix. I was given the opportunity to make my own custom polish by @MyStunningNails. I asked for a charcoal grey crelly polish with glitter or silver flakes in it. Lisa, did just that. I told her my inspiration was the remains from the resurrection of a Phoenix. She named it Ashes. This polish has my heart.
8. What do you look for the most when you purchase an indie (perfect formula, amazing color, affordability)?
Amazing color is top priority. Or when it has special properties like them thermals from @ahha_naillacquer. π
I feel like you can't tell the formula most times unless you do extensive research for amazing video swatches lol.
If color is not unique, then I look at affordability. If it's a "lemming" (see what I did thereπ), then I don't care about cost ππ
9. What direction would you like to see indie polish go in?
I would like to see Indies become more widely known by people in general, not just nail art fanatics. I would like for big box corporations to look at Indies & be like "πgoals." π

A big thanks to @SamtasticNails for challenging me to do this. If you are interested in checking out the nail artists as well as makers I mentioned in this blog post, I've made their names into hyperlinks. Press on them & it'll take you to their page. Stalk them all you'd like, I do it, too.☻ No shame in my game, baby. π
I think this is a great way to get to know other nail artists and makers! I ask that:
Do this same questionnaire. It doesn't matter what platform you do it on, just make sure you tag me in it when you do!!!
I will :)
